- Good Cleaning Effect
The diameter of a single microfiber is about 1/10 that of a human hair, and the fineness is less than 0.186tex (which means, 1000m long microfiber only weighs 0.186g). The cross section of this fiber is a triangular wedge shape, which increases its surface area. Dust will be trapped by the fiber when used as a dusting cloth, maximizing its cleaning capacity compared to ordinary towels.
Because of the dust-proof and thorough cleaning effects of microfiber, this synthetic fiber is widely used for making cleaning products, including dust-free cloths, eyeglasses cleaning cloths, car detailing towels and so on.
- Strong Water-absorbing
The siphonage phenomenon will happen when the fiber is fine enough, so its water-absorbing ability will be strong. The water-absorbing capacity and speed of a microfiber towel are more than 7 times that of an ordinary towel. - Quick drying
This microfiber has excellent capillary action because of its ultra-fine diameter, thus it features strong water-absorbing properties but it is also quick drying. Soft and Comfortable
Typically, chemical fibers have a poor skin-friendly function compared with natural fibers. Thus, the developing trend of chemical fiber is always imitating the features of natural fiber, such as imitation silk, imitation wool, faux velvet and so on.This imitation technology is plenty mature after several decades of development, especially microfiber. Kingda has successfully produced the fluffy microfiber fabric without any subsequent processing and lint shedding which can adjust to more demanding occasions.
- Easy Cleaning
The ordinary towel, especially the natural fiber towel, absorbs the dust, grease and dirt on the surface directly into the fiber while wiping, which will remain in the fiber and make it hard to clean. After long time use, the towel will become hard and lose its elasticity, even affecting the use. However, the microfiber towel absorbs the dirt between the fibers (not inside the fiber) with a high fiber density, thus it has a strong absorbing ability and only need to clean it using water or some detergent after use. - Long Service Life
The service life of microfiber is 4 times longer than that of an ordinary towel, and it won’t be deformed after repeated washing, because of its high strength and strong toughness. At the same time, the polymer fiber doesn’t produce protein hydrolysis like cotton fiber so it inhibits mold growth.
The earliest textile fibers used by people were natural fibers - cotton, hemp, wool, silk, among which, silk is one of the best wearing fibers and its linear density is about 1.0dtex. The originally developed chemical fibers could only reach a linear density of 5-6dtex and failed to provide the wearable comfort or beautiful appearance of silk.
